Ky. Baptists affirm missionaries, marriage amendment

LEXINGTON, Ky. (BP)--Kentucky Baptists celebrated the appointment of 69 new international missionaries and passed a resolution affirming marriage during their 166th annual meeting Nov. 11-12 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Lexington.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (BP)--Pauline White thought she was just going to do a little light reading before bed, but instead the 72-year-old retiree opened the door to a call to missions that took her from her Florida home to the mountains of eastern Kentucky.

Ky. Baptists’ president elected without opposition, first since ’91

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (BP)--Paul Badgett, pastor of First Baptist Church in Pikeville, Ky., was elected president of the Kentucky Baptist Convention during the Nov. 12-13 annual meeting, marking the first time since 1991 a KBC president has been elected without opposition.
