Church digital strategy director Darrel Girardier believes "the church is in a position for God to use social networking for some amazing things." But, among his suggestions, "We need to stop tweeting that our worship band 'rocks'" and "Don't argue online. No one wins and we all lose when we argue online."
Darrel Girardier, a church digital strategy director, sets forth caution about overreliance on Internet pastors. "[W]hen it comes to actually ministering to you in your time of need, your Internet pastor won't be there," he writes. "Sure, you can tweet at them or try to email them, but unless you live in their area, their assistant will tell you talk to your local church."
