Dravecky shares journey of cancer with HLG crowd

HANNIBAL, Mo. (BP)--"The world of sports parallels with life," former San Francisco Giants pitcher Dave Dravecky told an audience of 800 people during a Nov. 22 banquet at Hannibal-LaGrange College. Dravecky suffered the loss of his pitching arm and shoulder because of cancer and amputation at the height of his career in 1988.
