As a new pastor’s wife, I was also a new mom. I was learning how to parent a toddler (which included realizing how often they get sick!) and transitioning to caring for two kids after my second child was born. I was also working part-time, trying to love my neighbors, care for my home, and emotionally support my bi-vocational pastor-husband. Yet every time I said “no” to something else, I was sure I was a disappointment. I was ridden with guilt for not doing more.

Christians are called to stand for life and seek justice for the most vulnerable among us—and one of the ways we can do that is by praying for life. In prayer, we can unite for the sanctity of life, focusing on the preborn, their families, and the many individuals involved in tirelessly promoting a culture of life in our world today. Let us pray with hope, faith, and love, trusting in God’s sovereignty and reflecting his heart for our neighbors.

As the world changes so rapidly around us, the memories of a hymn, of old friends, of my home church, and of my first hearing the gospel are indeed comforting.
J.P. Morgan Research increased the recession probability by year-end 2024 from 25% to 35%. Other economists put the likelihood of a recession by year-end 2025 around 45%.
That is the principle I want you to take away: find a system that works for you and use it often.
