China tightens worship, Sunday school restrictions
CHINA (BP) -- China startled Christians by tightening its "choke-hold" on churches there in September, banning Christian education for children and unregistered church worship "as if intending to eliminate all house churches at once," China Aid told Morning Star News. In Guangzhou, Guangdong Province in southern China, police visited members of unregistered churches at their homes to warn them not to attend worship services. Officers also summoned a large number of them for questioning, China Aid reported from one of its sources.
