Each attack took place in Kaduna state, where assaults on Christians with impunity have recently ramped up in the increasingly lawless country.

JOS, Nigeria (BP) -- A mass burial on Sunday (Jan. 7) was announced for 49 of at least 65 Christians killed in Muslim Fulani herdsmen attacks in Benue state, Nigeria that began on New Year's Day, sources said. Muslim Fulani herdsmen massacre 20 Christians

ANCHA, Nigeria (BP) -- Muslim Fulani herdsmen in central Nigeria's Plateau state massacred 20 Christians, including children, as they slept in the hours after midnight on Sept. 8 in an apparent reprisal attack that mystified villagers, sources said. Police reportedly said the attack was an act of vengeance after the discovery last week of a slain and beheaded Fulani boy who was a resident of Ancha village, Miango District in the Bassa Local Government Area. But a village Christian told Morning Star News that the area's terrified residents were at a loss to explain why they were targeted, as the murder of the Fulani took place at another village. "The village where they claim one of them was killed over a year ago is not part of our village, and we have never had any misunderstanding with them in the past," said John Bulus, church secretary of Salama Baptist Church-Ancha, which lost 19 members in the massacre.

KEFFI, Nigeria (BP) -- Armed attacks by Muslim Fulani herdsmen on predominantly Christian communities in Nasarawa state this year have left more than 200 people dead and destroyed homes and farms, sources said. One such attack on a worship service on March 19 in the central Nigerian state's Oshugu village killed two Christians and displaced hundreds from the Loko Development Area of the Nasarawa Local Government Area (LGA), a survivor told Morning Star News.

Nigeria pastor’s wife killed by Muslim mob

KANO, Nigeria (BP) --- Nigerian officials scrambled to calm religious tensions after Muslims in Kano state killed a Christian pastor’s wife on a baseless “blasphemy” charge, according to reports. Bridget Agbahime, a kitchen utensil vendor at Kano city’s Kofar Wambai Market, was killed June 2 after she asked a Muslim engaged in ritual Islamic cleansing, identified as Alhaji Dauda, to move his ritual from her shopfront. She had had similar conflicts with the suspect. On this occasion she politely asked him to move the ritual to a corner as she still had customers at the end of the work day, according to online reports. Dauda became upset but left after a crowd began to gather.
