DALLAS (BP) – GuideStoneFinancial Resources, Lifeway Research and Baptist state conventions have again teamed up for the SBC Church Compensation Survey. The survey – the largest free study focused on churches in the United States – is conducted every two years.

DALLAS (BP) – GuideStone Financial Resources trustees unanimously elected Stephen B. Allen as the enterprise’s new chief legal officer during their regular meetings in Dallas March 4-5. Allen succeeds Harold R. Loftin Jr., who will retire later this year.

The Global Methodist Church is a new denomination composed primarily of former United Methodist Church congregations desiring to establish a more biblically conservative Methodist network.

During 2023, GuideStone retirement contributions grew by more than 6% year-over-year between 2022 and 2023. Protection benefits, provided to eligible Church Retirement Plan members by GuideStone and state conventions, totaled more than $4 million as of November 20. Almost 97,000 members have been served in GuideStone’s health plans this past year.
