FIRST-PERSON: Church member sends photo truly worth a thousand words

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)--A picture is worth a thousand words. I know it's a cliché, but take a look at this one. How many words come to mind? Love, appreciation, missions, kindness, squeezing, praying, serving? We received this photo by e-mail from Glenn Raley, a member of First Baptist Church, Sylacauga, Ala. "Thought ya'll might like to have this pic that says it all," he said. "We truly are blessed and have a right to be proud of our youth today and their efforts in the mission fields at home and abroad."
I was indeed blessed by the photo, so much so that I have it hanging on my copyholder by my computer. (I even shared the picture with several folks in our office -- hoping they would receive the same blessing I did.) The pure love and appreciation shown on the little boy's face is such a great picture of how one young person allowed Christ to work in his life. Without knowing many details of the mission trip, it was obvious God touched many lives through this youth group's ministry.
