SALT LAKE CITY (BP)– Messengers and guests to this year’s Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting and related gatherings will have two opportunities to participate in prayerwalking events. The events will be held June 5 and 7.
The June 5 prayerwalk is an all-day event. Participants will gather at 9 a.m. at the Salt Palace Convention Center in the SBC Prayer Room, which will be in the Green Room on Level 1 adjacent to the ballrooms.
The first hour will include training with Randy Sprinkle, prayer coordinator with the International Mission Board. The group will then go to selected sites to walk and pray. The day will conclude with a 3 p.m. sharing time back at the convention center. No reservations are required. The second event will be held the morning of June 7. This event is sponsored by the Baptist Nursing Fellowship and is held in conjunction with the WMU annual meeting.
The prayerwalk will convene at 9 a.m. in the lobby of the Doubletree Hotel, 255 South West Temple. Minette Drumwright, former prayer coordinator for the IMB, will lead the group. The prayerwalk will conclude at noon. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 1-800-968-7301.
Prior to the prayerwalk, BNF will host a breakfast for medical health professionals and other interested individuals. The breakfast begins at 8 a.m. at the Doubletree Hotel.
