7/22/97 Broadman & Holman forms partnership with National Publishing Corporation

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–A partnership has been formed by the Baptist Sunday School Board’s Broadman & Holman Publishers and the Philadelphia-based National Publishing Corporation to develop a new Bible imprint primarily for Scripture distribution programs of churches and other Christian ministries.
B&H and National will jointly develop products for National’s new Keystone Bible imprint and B&H will be the exclusive distributor for the products, according to Ken Stephens, director of the board’s trade publishing division.
Initial Keystone products will include pew Bibles, large print New Testaments, vest pocket New Testaments and a Soul Winners New Testament.
“We bring to the table Bible marketing expertise and a trade sales force that will give National’s products wider distribution,” Stephens said. “National has a long history of producing Scripture, medical and reference books using lightweight paper.”
The Keystone imprint was introduced July 14-17 during the Christian Booksellers Association annual convention in Atlanta.
