Archibald joins Michael Jordan on list of NBA greats at Campbell Camp

BUIES CREEK, N.C. (BP)–Pop quiz: Michael Jordan gave a few words of inspiration at this venue as did Pete Maravich and John Wooden.

No, we’re not talking Madison Square Garden. We’re talking about Carter Gymnasium, home to the Campbell University Fighting Camels.

And last week, Nate “Tiny” Archibald became at least the sixth person on the NBA top 50 list to appear at the Campbell Boys Basketball School. Archibald is the only player to lead the NBA in scoring (34.0 points) and in assists (11.4) in the same year when he accomplished the feat for the Kansas City-Omaha Kings in 1972-73.
