[1]

NASHVILLE, Tenn.–Baptist Press has revised its special series of stories on same-sex “marriage,” bringing them up to date with events of recent weeks.

The package, which includes more than 15 stories dealing with the various issues surrounding same-sex “marriage,” began in November shortly after the Massachusetts high court issued its controversial ruling.

Since then, several significant events have taken place, including the mayor of San Francisco issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples, the Massachusetts legislature passing a compromise marriage amendment and President Bush and John Kerry coming down on opposing sides of a federal marriage amendment.

The weekly series, along with the daily news stories about same-sex “marriage,” are available on the Internet at www.bpnews.net/samesexmarriage. The series is titled “Marriage: One Man, One Woman.”

“Baptist Press developed the series ‘Marriage: One Man, One Woman’ to inform and educate readers about the key issues involved in the national debate about same-sex ‘marriage,’” Baptist Press Executive Editor Will Hall said. “We now have updated these reports to include current information relating to each. We trust the updates will reinforce the value of these resources for those engaged in the effort to protect and nurture the biblical model of marriage in our country.”

The series examines a host of issues, such as:
