Fiction:

— “The Nephilim Seed” by James Scott Bell, a novel about Janice Ramsey, a lawyer and single mom living in Chicago with her ten-year-old daughter Lauren. Janice is pulled into a web of deceit when Lauren is kidnapped. A twisted genius from Harvard has developed a technology to alter human consciousness so that the subject has no emotion and will do his bidding. Janices’s ex-husband has undergone this change, connecting Lauren’s kidnapping to this hideous plot.

— “A Perfect Persecution” by James R. Lucas, a novel about a future that devalues human life where babies are aborted because they do not meet certain criteria for “social contribution” — a decision made even after birth. However, there is a committed resistance. An underground group seeks to rescue as many babies as possible, publicly attempting to turn the tide against evil.
