Campbellsville & Cumberland prep for conference clash

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (BP)–No. 14 Campbellsville University will face a tough challenge Saturday when the Tigers travel to Lebanon, Tenn., to take on the No. 20 Cumberland University Bulldogs.

Cumberland is unbeaten in the Mid-South Conference with a 3-0 mark and 5-1 overall. Campbellsville is 6-1 overall with a 2-1 mark in the MSC.

Cumberland lost their first game of the season 72-10 in a “money” game with NCAA Division IAA power Jacksonville State and has never looked back in reeling off five straight wins. In those five victories, the Bulldogs have used an explosive offense powered by a dynamic running game that leads the conference and the nation in rushing yards per game. Cumberland averages 409 yards per game with an astounding 364 of that coming on the ground.
