Carol Causey named director of WMU missions resource center


BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (BP)–Carol J. Causey has been named as director of the missions resource center for Woman’s Missionary Union.

Her appointed was announced by WMU Executive Director Wanda Lee during the organization’s Jan. 11-14 board meeting at Shocco Springs Baptist Convention Center in Talladega, Ala.

“With 17 years of dedicated service to WMU, Carol clearly understands our organization,” Lee said. “Her vision for the continued development of the missions resource center along with her strong leadership abilities will enable WMU to move forward as the premier resource for missions education in our churches.”

Since joining WMU’s staff in January 1986, Causey has served in a variety of roles, most recently as director of the editorial department.

A native of Amarillo, Texas, Causey holds a bachelor’s degree from West Texas State University and a master’s degree in religious education and a doctorate in education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. She also is a member of the Baptist Communicators Association.
