ABOUT IT: The app includes the text of the Bible but, more significantly, an audio dramatization of the entire Bible in more than 180 languages. Each passage offers the user an audio option, with actors and actresses reading the text, often with sound effects and music. Users also can share verses with friends via Facebook and Twitter. The app was made by Faith Comes by Hearing, a ministry that seeks to provide audio Bibles to the world.

CompassionNet

PLATFORM: iPhone, iPad, Android.

PRICE: Free

ABOUT IT: An International Mission Board app, it gives users specific, up-to-date ways they can pray for missions and missionaries. Many prayer updates also include an audio option. The app includes a blog with updates from missionaries, as well as a section of video clips. The app also has a share option for Facebook, Twitter and e-mail.
