— There’s No Place Like Home by Mary Larmoyeux and Ethan Pope (with a foreword by Beverly LaHaye) gives spiritual encouragement and financial advice to working women who would like to become stay-at-home moms. Each chapter includes a case study of a mother who wants to become a stay-at-home mom and addresses topics like home schooling and home-based careers.
Fiction
— The Janus Deception, a novel by John F. Bayer. Lieutenant Commander Jake Madsen, MD, U.S. Naval Reserves feels he has very little left to live for after his wife, Kathy’s, death. However, when the doctor examines Sgt. Jerry Wallace, he discovers a strange implant in Wallace’s chest, which propels Madsen into a world where human emotions and actions are no longer taken into account.
— Valley of Promises by Bonnie Leon. The first of The Matanuska Series, this novel features Will Hasper and his family who are forced to give up their farm to join a federal government project. Because of the Great Drought of 1930, many farmers must leave their land and go to Alaska’s Matanuska Valley, where the project is established.
