Clear Creek Bible College receives SACS accreditation


PINEVILLE, Ky. (BP)–Clear Creek Baptist Bible College has received accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools’ Commission of Colleges.
The accreditation, awarded by SACS in June and retroactive to January, allows academic credit hours from Clear Creek to be transferred to other SACS-accredited colleges and universities.
Founded as a school for ministers in 1926 affiliated the Kentucky Baptist Convention, Clear Creek previously has been accredited through the American Association of Bible Colleges.
The school currently has 170 students and a 35-member staff, including 20 full-time faculty.
Clear Creek awards four-year bachelor of ministry degrees in four tracks — pastoral ministry, missions and evangelism, Christian education and church music — and two-year associate of arts degrees in ministry.
Bill Whittaker has been Clear Creek’s president since 1988.
