DALLAS (BP)–Trustees to serve on the commissions and committees of the Southern Baptist Convention have been nominated by the 1997 Committee on Nominations.

CHRISTIAN LIFE COMMISSION (name change effective 6/97: ETHICS AND RELIGIOUS LIBERTY COMMISSION: (35 members): 11 nominations considered; 8 new members; 3 renominations.

Nominees with terms to expire in 2001, replacing members ineligible for re-election are R. Dale Wallace Jr., attorney and member of First Baptist Church, Trussville, Ala., replacing William E. Whitfield, Mobile, Ala.; Shirley J. Lewis, layperson and member of Immanuel Southern Baptist Church, Ridgecrest, Calif., replacing Joy McClung, Hemet, Calif.; Fred E. Beach, division manager for Texaco and member of Hesperus Baptist Church, Hesperus, Colo., replacing Richard A. Long Jr., Grand Junction, Colo.; Bruce M. Crawford, pastor of Countryside Baptist Church, Clearwater, Fla., replacing Arthur Lee McGehee, Ocala, Fla.; Ginger Bradshaw, real estate agent and member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church, Atlanta, replacing Nancy Schaefer, Atlanta.

At-Large member nominated for a term to expire in 2001 is Deen Kaplan, attorney and member of Capitol Hill Baptist Church, Washington, replacing John L. Yeats, Grand Prairie, Texas.

Nominated for a term to expire in 1999 is Jeffrey L. Isenhour, pastor of Arran Lake Baptist Church, Fayetteville, N.C., replacing Charles D. Page, Charlotte, N.C., who resigned.

Nominated for a term to expire in 1998 is Keri Harrison, layperson and member of Capitol Hill Baptist Church, Washington, replacing Paul Moore, Washington, who is deceased.

Nominated for second terms are Barry King, Tumbling Shoals, Ark.; Earl W. Morley, Sparks, Nev.; Al Phillips, North Spartanburg, S.C.

COMMITTEE ON ORDER OF BUSINESS (6 members): 3 nominations considered; 2 new members; 1 nomination for chairman.

Nominees with terms to expire in 2000, replacing members ineligible for re-election, are Arnold E. Caddell, layperson and member of Erlanger Baptist Church, Erlanger, Ky., replacing Lillian L. Butler, Mayfield, Ky.; Marvin C. Clarke, layperson and member of First Baptist Church, Bellevue, Neb., replacing Perry L. Calvert, Huntsville, Ala.
Rick E. Ferguson, Denver, was nominated chairman.

DENOMINATIONAL CALENDAR COMMITTEE (6 members): 3 nominations considered; 2 new members; 1 nomination for chairman.
