COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (BP)–Churches across the nation will participate in a live simulcast May 23 to listen to pro-family leaders discuss the threat of same-sex “marriage.”

The live simulcast, which will begin at 8 p.m. ET, is in reaction to Massachusetts becoming the first state in the nation to legalize same-sex “marriage.”

The “Battle for Marriage” simulcast will be available via satellite and the Internet and is intended to educate and motivate Christians as to how they should respond.

Scheduled speakers are: Chuck Colson, founder, Prison Fellowship Ministries; Tony Perkins, president, Family Research Council; James Dobson, founder and president, Focus on the Family; Wellington Boone, president, Boone Institute for Leadership Development and ProVision Publishing; and Ted Haggard, president, National Association of Evangelicals.

Massachusetts legalized same-sex “marriage” May 17 following a ruling by its highest court. Traditionalists warn that the ruling will be used to legalize same-sex “marriage” nationwide.

There is a fee for the simulcast. To register for the simulcast via satellite, call 800-321-6781 or visit www.ccnonline.net. To register for the simulcast via the Internet webcast, visit www.dvstudios.com/ccn/frc_webcast.html. Videos cassettes and DVDs of the simulcast will be available at the same dvstutios.com website.
