–In the (BP) story, “Pastor’s group seeks to raise $400 million to recoup losses,” dated 12/20/99, a group mentioned in the story, “Restoring Our Integrity,” of Arizona Baptist pastors raising money for the failed Baptist Foundation of Arizona, now has an Internet site. Interested persons may contact the ROI at www.restoringourintegrity.org, according to George Barnes, associate pastor of Gateway Fellowship in Gilbert, Ariz.

— In the (BP) story, “First Baptist Jacksonville pastor stuns congregation with retirement,” dated 12/21/99, please add the following paragraph to the story about Homer Lindsay’s retirement:

Adrian Rogers, pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tenn., said Lindsay has made a place in Southern Baptist history. “He set a standard so much needed in this day of innovation and experimentation in church growth,” Rogers said. “He showed the Southern Baptist Convention that a great New Testament church could be built around straight Bible preaching, soul winning and Sunday school organization.

“In this day, that standard needs to hold,” Rogers added. “I have patterned much of my own ministry after that of Homer Lindsay Jr. I am so grateful for his life and legacy.”
