ERLC ‘For Faith & Family’ adds longtime Focus radio producer

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–Longtime Focus on the Family executive producer Bobbie Valentine will be joining the staff of “For Faith & Family,” a broadcast ministry of the Southern Baptist Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, Richard Land announced May 8. Land is president of the ERLC and host of the weekday radio program.

Valentine, most recently executive producer of Focus on the Family, a daily radio program hosted by James Dobson based in Colorado Springs, will serve as For Faith & Family’s interim executive producer. After 17 years with the Focus on the Family organization, Valentine retired to California to launch a consulting practice for media-related ministries; the ERLC program is Valentine’s first project.

The For Faith & Family radio ministry is aired on more than 550 stations across the United States. Actual audience estimation indicates the ministry has 1.1 million listeners weekly, according to a recent ratings report based on Arbitron numbers.

“This dynamic new leadership team will move For Faith & Family to an exciting, new level,” said Land, referring to the addition of Valentine to the program’s staff. “There is no question that we are in position to shape For Faith & Family into an award-winning broadcast that will be even more effective at changing the culture by reaching listeners with the life-changing truths of the Gospel.”

For Faith & Family can also be heard on the Internet at www.faithandfamily.com. The program, which focuses on moral and ethical issues of concern to Christian families, is in its third year of production and is a ministry of the ERLC, the agency charged with addressing moral, ethical, public policy, religious liberty and social issues for Southern Baptists.
