[1]MARSHALL, Texas (BP)–It won’t count in the standings, but the East Texas Baptist University Tigers will get their first game action of the 2001 season Saturday when they host Kilgore College in a full-game exhibition in Ornelas Stadium on the ETBU campus.
Although the contest is classified as a scrimmage for ETBU, head coach Ralph Harris and his staff have prepared the Tigers as if this were a real game on the schedule. ETBU’s official season opener will be next Saturday, Sept. 8, at 1 p.m. in Ornelas Stadium against Southwestern Assemblies of God.
“This will be our only dress rehearsal, and we want to dress nice,” said Harris.
