Founders Breakfast to focus on church priorities in Y2K


ORLANDO, Fla. (BP)–Priorities of the local church in the new millennium will be addressed during the annual Founders Fellowship Breakfast at 7 a.m. in the Orange County Convention Center, Rooms 304 E, F, and G.

The full sit-down breakfast, with the theme, “Church Priorities in Y2K,” is sponsored by Founders Ministries, formerly the Founders Conference, an organization which holds that the SBC’s founders believed in the doctrines of grace, often called Calvinism.

Fred Malone, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Clinton, La., will speak on “Christ in the New Millennium,” while Jim Elliff, director of the Center for Biblical Revival at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Kansas City, Mo., will speak on “Evangelism with Integrity.”

The annual breakfast is organized by Tom Ascol, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church, Cape Coral, Fla.
