ALPHARETTA, Ga. (BP)–Go! magazine, the North American Mission Board’s publication that challenges Christian teens to impact their world for Christ, has been named best publication in the youth magazine category in the Evangelical Press Association Awards of Excellence. The Evangelical Press Association is made up of nearly 300 publications representing various denominations, para-church groups and Christian publishers.
This year’s award builds on last year’s award of merit Go! received in its category. Award of merit winners in the youth category this year were Brio, published by Focus on the Family, Youthwalk, published by Walk Thru the Bible and Youth Specialties, and Campus Life, published by Christianity Today International. Go! now joins On Mission magazine, which won best in its category in EPA’s 1999 Awards of Excellence.
In addition to its Award of Excellence, Go! took top honors in publication design. In this competition, Go! competed against every other magazine entered, not only youth publications. Go! also received a fourth place award in the fiction article category and a fifth place for best full-color cover, for its September/October 2001 edition.
