Graham announces appointees to Committee on Committees

INDIANAPOLIS (BP)–Appointments to the Southern Baptist Convention’s Committee on Committees to serve during the June 15-16 SBC annual meeting in Indianapolis have been announced by SBC President Jack Graham.

Graham, pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, announced the appointments in accordance with SBC Bylaw 19 requiring the president to announce the appointments “at least 45 days in advance of the meeting.”

The Committee on Committees has 70 members, two from each of the 35 state or regional conventions qualified for representation on SBC entities.

The principle responsibility of the Committee on Committees is to nominate members of the Committee on Nominations, which, in turn, nominates trustees to serve on the various national entities of the SBC.
