GuideStone now offers iPhone app

DALLAS (BP)–An iPhone and iPod touch app for GuideStone Financial Resources participants is now available for free download at www.GuideStone.org/mobileapp and in the Apple app store.

With the app, GuideStone participants can check their retirement account balance and the 10 most recent transactions on their accounts.

Participants also can:

— View their accounts, retirement plans and fund selections.

— Check insurance coverage amounts and premiums.

— See policy dependents.

“Our participants don’t have the luxury of sitting behind a desk every day,” GuideStone President O.S. Hawkins said. “They are visiting their church members, working with patients in hospitals, teaching classes in colleges and seminaries or attending committee meetings. This app will allow our participants easier on-the-go access to their GuideStone retirement and insurance information.”

A mobile experience for the BlackBerry Torch and Android-based devices is available at www.MyGuideStone.mobi. GuideStone also is in the process of connecting to other Web-enabled mobile devices.

“Since the first launch of our website, GuideStone has continuously made enhancements to the user experience,” Hawkins said. “The launch of the app continues demonstrating our commitment in providing our participants the access to account information they want in the format they wish to receive it.”
