Marine Cpl. Patrick Nixon, the first Tennessean to die in Operation Iraqi Freedom, was honored with a funeral service at College Heights Baptist Church in Gallatin, Tenn., April 15. Nixon died March 23 in an attack as his unit was trying to secure a bridge near Nasiriyah and will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery outside Washington, D.C., April 17.
