Internet radio launched by Ga. Baptists

DULUTH, Ga. (BP)–The Georgia Baptist Convention will begin a 24-hour-a-day Internet radio station May 18 at www.gbcradio.net.

The station’s theme is “Life With Purpose.” The programming will be a blend of featured programs, sermons, Christian music and informational messages.

GBC Internet Radio will be supported with a website that will contain a program schedule, information about the station, podcasts of selected programs, promotional information and links to the Georgia convention website.

“Our goal for the first year is to have a minimum of 5,000 listening hours per month,” said Diane Reasoner, GBC communications specialist.

“This has been a dream to be able to cover the world with the Gospel while also supporting Christians wherever they may be,” said J. Robert White, executive director of the Georgia convention.
