RICHMOND, Va. (BP)–A new video segment on the distribution of food boxes in Iraq is available from the International Mission Board for use by churches and small groups.
The video, which runs about four minutes in length, features an interview with a Southern Baptist who helped deliver food boxes in central Iraq and closes with a missions song, “To the Ends of the Earth,” performed by Martin Allen.
“Southern Baptists saw the images of people suffering in Iraq and responded with prayer, with food boxes and with volunteers,” the worker said. “As we approach Thanksgiving, we need to stop and remember that God’s love is being felt in Iraq because Southern Baptists cared enough to collect food for hungry Iraqi families.”
Iraqis appreciate the food boxes as a demonstration of God’s love and are open to the Gospel, the worker said. “This is a strategic moment in Iraq’s history, and we must not let this opportunity pass us by.”
