ORLANDO, Fla. (BP)–Jerry Spencer, pastor of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Dothan, Ala., was elected as the 2001 president of the Southern Baptist Pastors’ Conference during this year’s sessions in Orlando, Fla.
Spencer also is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee.
Other new officers are vice president Darrell Orman, pastor of First Baptist Church, Stuart, Fla., and secretary/treasurer Bob Parker, pastor of First Baptist Church, Markham Woods, Lake Mary, Fla.
Next year’s Pastors’ Conference will be June 12-13 in New Orleans.
Jerry Sutton, pastor of Two Rivers Baptist Church, Nashville, Tenn., led this year’s June 11-12 sessions in Orlando.
