[1]As Southern Baptists prepare to travel to Anaheim for the 2022 SBC Annual Meeting, the three known presidential candidates have submitted First-Person style essays to Baptist Press. Robin Hadaway [2], Bart Barber [3] and Tom Ascol [4] have been previously interviewed by BP. In addition, BP covered a candidate forum [5] in Keller, Texas, on May 4.
Nominations for SBC president can be made by any messenger up until the closing of the nominations at the annual meeting. The election of officers is scheduled [6] to begin at 3:20 p.m. on June 14.
