NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–Darin Moore, acting director of LifeWay Christian Resources’ information systems department since Jan. 28, has been named to fill that position permanently, according to Tim Vineyard, vice president of LifeWay’s new technical division. Moore begins serving in that capacity immediately.

“After working with Darin over the past two years, I know he brings a strong combination of experience and leadership to the position,” said Vineyard, who was elected as vice president of LifeWay’s new technical area by trustees Feb. 11-12. “I look forward to working with Darin because he exemplifies the characteristics of LifeWay’s vision and values.”

Under the newly designed technical division, to become effective March 1, Vineyard will oversee the information systems department and the E-business department. He has been serving as director of LifeWay’s E-business area since 2000.

Moore has been with LifeWay almost six years. He joined the information systems department as the retail systems group’s manager. Prior to coming to LifeWay, he was employed by EDS for more than eight years and worked with clients in the Healthcare, automotive and life insurance fields.

“This is a great department with a wonderful staff,” Moore said. “I look forward to working with the other [LifeWay units] and helping them reach their goals, objectives and strategic plans.”

A cum laude graduate of Murray State University with a major in computer information systems, Moore is a member of First Baptist Church, Franklin. He is married and has two sons.
