LifeWay opens Internet site focusing on adult discipleship

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–DisciplePLUS!, an Internet site produced by the adult discipleship department at LifeWay Christian Resources, became available through LifeWay’s site on the World Wide Web at www.lifeway.com on Jan. 8.
The on-line resource is among more than a dozen LifeWay sites linked to the LifeWay address.
The DisciplePLUS! site provides information for 10 ministry areas: Discipleship and Spiritual Growth, Marriage and Family, Women’s Enrichment Ministry, Men’s Ministry, Senior Adult Ministry, Single Adult Ministry, Support Groups, First Place, Prayer Ministry and Criminal Justice Ministry. DisciplePLUS! also offers information for Fall Festivals of Marriage, Toward a Growing Marriage, Chautauquas, Christian Single Getaways, Living Proof Seminars and other events.
Discipleship and Spiritual Growth lists available resources, events and leadership training and development opportunities. Individuals will find interesting articles and product updates that can strengthen existing programs, testimonies, conference notes, leader tips and program ideas. Help is provided in how to begin and maintain an adult discipleship ministry.
The Marriage and Family site lists resources, events and leadership training that will encourage and equip spouses, couples and parents in living out their Christian faith in the home.
Women’s Enrichment Ministry provides information on resources, training and events available to meet the discipleship needs of women.
Men’s Ministry lists resources, events and leadership training and development opportunities relating to men’s ministry. Articles and product updates are provided to strengthen existing programs, along with testimonies, conference notes, leader tips and program ideas.
Senior Adult Ministry and Single Adults Ministry highlight resources, events and leadership training which minister to the unique needs of those persons and their leaders. These resources are designed to help people grow in discipleship, build or enhance healthy relationships, enhance healthy self-esteem based on biblical principles and equip leaders to develop specific aspects of a Senior Adult and Single Adult ministries in a local church.
Christ-centered support groups help individuals develop relationships with God and other people. Members share a common life situation or challenge. They learn to apply the classic disciplines of the faith to deal with problems. The resources, events and leadership training opportunities in the Support Groups site are provided to help a support-group ministry build up believers and demonstrate to unbelievers that the church is a caring place.
