KANSAS CITY, Mo. (BP)–A first-ever campus preview for prospective students and their families has been scheduled at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and College, SBC, for Friday, March 23, at the Kansas City, Mo., campus.

Students interested in the seminary’s graduate and undergraduate programs are invited to attend the “Step Up for Christ!” event.

Midwestern’s preview will provide prospective students “a great time to be exposed to these wonderful resources [as they] seek God’s will for their life,” seminary President R. Philip Roberts said.

After a brief welcome and worship time, participants will be invited to various sessions presented by faculty and staff about Midwestern’s history and mission, academic programs, admission and financial aid options.

Students also will have the opportunity to visit a class in session, while parents will be invited to a question-and-answer time with a Midwestern faculty or staff member. Male and female housing tours also will be offered for prospective students and parents.

Registration and a continental breakfast will be in Midwestern’s Vines Café. A lunch buffet will be offered, and the event will end with a 2 p.m. ice cream reception.

The preview day “will be a great opportunity to learn about theological education for both graduate and undergraduate students,” said Alan Branch, Midwestern’s vice president of student development. “It will also benefit people considering the call to ministry who want to learn more about how to prepare for service.”
