KANSAS CITY, Mo. (BP)–Charles Warren has been named to the new position of senior executive assistant to the president and director for institutional effectiveness at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo. He begins Oct. 1.

“I believe God has gifted Dr. Warren with the many talents required for these vital positions,” said Midwestern President Phil Roberts. “I am confident he will be a wonderful addition to our Midwestern family.”

A native of Alabama, Warren most recently was an adjunct professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. He holds a Ph.D. in theology from Southeastern, specializing in systematic theology with an emphasis on anthropology and harmartiology. He also has a master of divinity degree from Southeastern and a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University in Alabama.

Warren has served in the U.S. Navy and worked 32 years as an engineer in the nuclear power, aerospace and manufacturing industries. He was a co-owner of an electrical construction and engineering design firm in Dothan, Ala.

“No doubt these years of engineering design and management experience enabled Dr. Warren to acquire and develop accomplished skills in the areas of leadership, management, administration, organization and personnel staffing and development,” Roberts said.

Warren and his wife, Aileen, have two children and four grandchildren.
