FRESNO, Calif. (BP)–Michael B. McCullough, a 16-year employee of the Nevada Baptist Convention, will become the associate executive director of California Southern Baptist Convention effective June 1.

In his new post, McCullough will serve as the California convention’s staff planning officer with responsibility for coordinating the state convention budget and calendar preparation. In addition, he will supervise the directors of several CSBC offices and program departments and will service Annuity Board programs with Southern Baptist churches and associations in California. McCullough also will supervise CSBC employees who will be assigned to work in a system of regional service areas currently being developed to decentralize services the state convention provides for churches.
McCullough is a graduate of Texas A&M University, Louisiana State University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His wife, Sarah, is a graduate of Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and is a licensed medical technologist.
