Mohler to discuss homosexual clergy issue on CNNfn Aug. 4

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (BP)–Southern Baptist Theological Seminary President R. Albert Mohler Jr. is scheduled to appear on CNNfn’s “Market Call” program on Monday, August 4 to discuss the issue of homosexual clergy. Mohler will be a guest on the show’s “Tough Call” segment scheduled for 10:50 a.m. (ET).

The issue of homosexual clergy has been debated recently in light of the election by the Episcopal Church of Gene Robinson, an open homosexual, as bishop of New Hampshire. His election must be approved at the Episcopal Church’s general convention, which is taking place in Minneapolis.

“Any church that would elect an openly homosexual bishop has so abdicated the authority of the Bible that it will effectively cease to be a church at all,” Mohler wrote July 30 on his Crosswalk.com weblog.

Michael Hopkins, president of the pro-homosexual organization “Integrity USA” is also scheduled to appear. CNNfn is CNN’s financial news network
