Motorcyclists ready to ‘Rally to Ridgecrest’ over Memorial Day weekend

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–Christian motorcyclists from around the country are planning to converge on Ridgecrest Conference Center near Ashville, N.C. over the Memorial Day weekend, May 22-25, according Ron Pratt, national event planner for LifeWay Conference Centers.

The fourth edition of the annual motorcycle rally has scheduled retired Lt. Col. Oliver North to highlight the gathering, Sunday morning, May 24. North was a member of the National Security Council staff and served as the U.S. government’s counter-terrorism coordinator from 1983-1986. He now is host of the Fox News Channel documentary series “War Stories with Oliver North.”

Pratt said the weekend event is a chance to honor the ultimate sacrifice that so many have made to ensure Americans’ freedom. “That freedom guarantees our right to worship Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior,” he said.

In addition to North, speakers include Dave Burton, evangelism director for the Florida Baptist Convention, as well as Christian comedian Jeff Allen.

Along with taking in the attractions of the area, participants will be able to enjoy long, winding rides through the forests and mountains of North Carolina to contemplate how God leads in their lives, Pratt added.
