NAMB videos honoring military released for Memorial Day services

ALPHARETTA, Ga. (BP)–The North American Mission Board has released two new inspirational video segments ideal for worship services around Memorial Day or the Fourth of July.

The segments, available exclusively through the Internet, are aimed at celebrating the dedication and sacrifice of the United States Armed Forces and launching prayer efforts for the Iraqi people.

“You Are The Ones” is a three-minute music video to the song by the same title as performed by the Kuhlmann Sisters.

“‘You Are The Ones’ is an incredibly powerful song of thanks and honor for those who have fought and died for our freedom throughout the years,” said Doug Keesey, director of electronic media for NAMB. “This video features an inspiring blend of images from the war with Iraq as well as many other wars in our nation’s history. It’s ideal for use during any God and Country celebration, and timely for honoring our military personnel on Memorial Day and the Fourth of July.”

“Pray for Iraq” is a two-minute video clip featuring images of the desperate plight of the Iraqi people living under the ruthless dictatorship of Saddam Hussein. “Because we prayed people are free,” the video states. “… People are hungry, hurting and lost. Pray for the Iraqi people.”

“We had such a tremendous response to our military prayer video this spring that we felt like we needed to call churches to pray for the people of Iraq as well,” Keesey said. “Their world has been turned upside down and they need our prayers. We hope this video will help churches catch a vision for the need to pray for the Iraqi people.”

The videos can be previewed or downloaded at http://www.ebroadcasters.com/events/namb/essentials/.

The MPEG 1 videos may be downloaded for $5.95 each and can be easily inserted into a PowerPoint presentation.

“These two videos will be ideal for use in any worship service or small group study,” Keesey said.
