Northernmost Baptist church in Norwegian fishing village

[1]

HONNINGSVAG, Norway (BP)–Norwegian Baptists have planted a new
church in the North Cap (Nordkapp) area of Norway, North Cap Baptist
Church in Honningsvag, which they say is the world’s most northernmost
Baptist church.
The congregation had 20 members when it was organized in October,
Jan Suthre, president of the Baptist Union of Norway, told European
Baptist Press Service.
Honningsvag is a fishing village with 3,000 residents, but it is a
popular place for tourists, so the church has a ministry beyond its own
village.
According to the Baptist union, the Honningsvag church is the only
one in the evangelical/free church tradition in Honningsvag and one of
few in the region area.
