
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. (BP)–The Ouachita Baptist University Tiger Sharks and Lady Tiger Sharks each got third place in the men’s and women’s divisions respectively, but the two teams combined for second place overall in the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Christmas Invitational held in Little Rock, Ark.
Southwest Missouri State University won the combined event with 1,780 points and Ouachita was second with 1,053.5 points. Henderson State was third with 785.5 points and Missouri-Rolla was fifth with 747 points. The UALR Christmas Invitational featured a field of 12 teams.
Ouachita’s performance was highlighted by sophomore Justin Boyd as he broke the school record in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 52.98 seconds. Boyd also broke his own record with his effort Saturday night.
