FORT WORTH, Texas (BP)–Jeff Wyers, the Southern Baptist pastor featured in the PBS series “Colonial House,” will appear on FamilyNet’s “At Home — Live!” June 11 at 11 a.m. Eastern.
In addition to communicating the concepts of religious authority alongside the love and grace of Jesus Christ, Wyers, pastor of Community Baptist Church in Waco, Texas, and his family were in the midst of filming the five-month series when they received news that the young man who would have become their son-in-law was killed in an auto accident back home.
Colonial House, which aired in May, followed in the footsteps of three hugely popular PBS series, most recently “Frontier House,” placing 21st-century people in an environment unique to a specific time period.
Potentially, millions of people likewise will view Colonial House, and that, the Wyerses said in a Baptist Press article, is why they believe God allowed them to be a part of the series and why their faith was tested.
At Home — Live! is a one-hour morning show hosted by husband/wife team Chuck and Jenni Borsellino, featuring a variety of topics that relate to home, family and relationships.
Based in Fort Worth, Texas, FamilyNet is a 24-hour television network airing more than 50 hours of original, values-based programs weekly. FamilyNet can be accessed in more than 32 million TV households.
