[1]YORK, Penn. (BP)–The Baptist Convention of Pennsylvania/South Jersey elected Henry Nash, Philadelphia pastor, as president for 1999-2000 during its annual meeting Nov. 4-5 at Temple Baptist Church, York.
Nash is pastor of Grace Community Baptist Church, Philadelphia.
A budget in the amount of $2,681,150 was adopted for the convention with $776,975 slated from the churches through the Cooperative Program. The Southern Baptist Convention will receive 24 percent of those undesignated CP receipts, a .25 percent increase over last year’s budget.
Country and Town Baptist Church, Mechanicsburg, Penn. will host the next annual state convention Nov. 3-4, 2000.
