Radio station pulls in diapers for pro-life pregnancy centers

DALLAS (BP)–More than 52,000 diapers, along with other baby supplies, were collected to support 26 Dallas/Fort Worth-area pro-life pregnancy centers in this year’s KCBI Diaper Drive.

The annual event is sponsored by KCBI, an FM Christian radio station licensed to Criswell College celebrating its 25th year of 24-hour broadcasting to the metro area.

The station held 10 remote broadcasts during June and July to encourage listener participation in the diaper drive. Donors dropped off their purchases of diapers and other baby supplies at local Mardel Christian Stores.

The pro-life pregnancy centers supported in the diaper drive offer free pregnancy testing as well as hope and encouragement for girls and women experiencing unplanned pregnancies.

The 100,000-watt, listener-supported station at 90.9 on the FM dial was named “2002 Radio Station of the Year” by the National Religious Broadcasters earlier this year.
