‘Reach One by Pastor Frank’ added to BP cartoon lineup

[1]

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–The cartoons of Frank Lengel — “Reach One by Pastor Frank” — have been added to the BPLife Lighter Side lineup at Baptist Press.

Lengel is a bivocational pastor serving at an inner-city Southern Baptist church in West Columbia, S.C. He also serves as executive director for Reach One ministries, a Christian Women’s Job Corps site that provides career and vocational ministry and missions support.

Lengel tells readers that the Reach One comic strip “takes place mostly inside a church. Pastor Jack is the protagonist and Joe is the antagonist. Most [of the] humor revolves around Joe. Joe has a good heart, but he is still in the early stages of discipleship. He is a prankster, and he often sees things the old way, much to Pastor Jack’s dismay.”

The Reach One comic strip is completely digital. No pens, pencils or paper are used in creating the cartoons.

Lengel has 30-plus years of experience as a professional cartoonist and humorist. His cartoons have appeared in most major magazines and hundreds of newspapers around the country. He has also served as an editorial cartoonist. His cartoons have even been traded and sold by collectors on eBay.

When he is not at work in the church or with Reach One, Lengel is a workforce development consultant who speaks to groups around the country about trends in employment and the impact of jobs and careers.
