ALPHARETTA, Ga. (BP)–North American Mission Board President Robert E. Reccord and interfaith evangelism missionary Jim Sibley likely will be featured in a segment of the ABC News program “20/20” tonight dealing with evangelism efforts among Jews. The program begins at 10 p.m. Eastern.
The report, by religion correspondent Peggy Wehmeyer, will focus on a Jewish boy in Dallas who postponed his bar mitzvah after accepting Christ during a youth event at a Southern Baptist church. The incident later was publicized in local and national media.
Reccord and Sibley, who coordinates NAMB’s evangelism efforts among Jews, explained the agency’s positions during a three-hour interview with Wehmeyer March 14.
