VANCOUVER, Wash. (BP)–Ed Ernsting, editor of the Northwest Baptist Witness and leadership services team leader for the past six years, resigned effective April 28, 2003, for personal reasons.
Executive Director Jeff Iorg informed convention officers and executive board committee chairmen about the reasons for the resignation and told the full board of Ernsting’s resignation in a conference call later that same day.
“Convention officers have been fully informed about this situation and affirm the steps taken to handle it,” said Northwest Baptist Convention President Kevin White.
Derinda Moerer has been named interim editor of the Witness. “I have complete confidence Derinda will provide stable, competent leadership during this transition,” Iorg said.
