NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–A coffee table book commemorating LifeWay Ridgecrest Conference Center’s 100th anniversary will be unveiled during the Southern Baptist Convention’s June 13-14 annual meeting in Greensboro, N.C.
“Ridgecrest: A Century of Spiritual Renewal” traces Ridgecrest’s beginnings in a log cabin near Asheville, N.C., to its current status as one of the largest Christian conference centers in the nation, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The 96-page full-color explores how generations of Southern Baptists and others have had their lives changed at Ridgecrest.
Chapters include testimonials from well-known Christian leaders such as evangelist Billy Graham and the late Adrian Rogers; a look at the volunteers and donors who have made Ridgecrest’s ministry possible; an overview of how the conference center has changed over the years; and a section focusing on camps and programs for young people.
Stories from people of all ages recounting their experiences at Ridgecrest also will be interspersed throughout the book, which is being released by the B&H Publishing Group of LifeWay Christian Resources.
