SBC ‘9/11 Inspirational Tribute’ re-released on SBC website


NASHVILLE, Tenn. (BP)–A “9/11 Inspirational Tribute” of music, spoken word and photography has been re-released on the Southern Baptist Convention’s website, www.sbc.net.

The brief tribute, fashioned around music penned by Michael W. Smith and titled “Freedom,” includes comments spoken by President Bush and evangelist Billy Graham after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, along with Baptist Press photographs taken in New York City in the days after the tragedy.

Also available at the SBC’s www.sbc.net website are:

— “A Nation Heals,” a collection of post-9/11 Baptist Press news stories.

— “Prayer for a Nation in Crisis,” an Internet avenue for joining other Southern Baptists in prayer for the nation.

— “Where is God?” a video collection of sermons by Southern Baptist leaders Tom Elliff, Mac Brunson, Jim Henry, R. Albert Mohler Jr. and Richard Land.
